Program Director Reggie Owes
Coach owes played high school basketball as well as nine years in the military. He has a masters degree in Public Administration and has been involved in basketball in some capacity for the majority of his life. The overall goal of why coach Owes started this program is to empower players to reach their full potential.
Coach Derrian Bell
Coach Bell signed with Chipola college out of high school. He then transferred to Hillsborough community college and played for 2 years before signing to play for William Penn in Iowa where he played one season. Coach Bell has been coaching & training for 5 years now
Training Coordinator/Coach Matt Dorsey
Matt Dorsey is a former professional basketball player with 18 years of playing experience. This includes stops in various teams in the NBA Developmental League (Idaho Stampede, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Maine Red Claws, and more). He uses this experience to train players individually or in groups to enhance their overall game. Also, coach Dorsey held the inaugural Skills Camp featuring Jason Williams at St. Albans High School in 2020. Currently coach Dorsey splits his time between West Virginia and Tampa training players at all level helping them develop their skills.
Coach, Trainer, & Recruiting Coordinator Cesar Fernandez
Cesar Fernandez is originally from the Dominican Republic, residing in the USA since 2009. He is currently an IT professional with specializations and certifications in Data Networks and Cybersecurity. He also is a basketball trainer and coach by passion, with more than 10 years of experience as a player. Where he played for multiple teams at different levels in the Dominican Republic. He also has more than 10 years of experience as a trainer and coach, training and coaching kids at all levels, Elementary, Middle and High School, also AAU/Travel basketball. He holds a USA Basketball Coach Certification and owns a Basketball Academy where he focuses on developing players to help them perform better in games and life. His philosophy is to focus on 4 main areas and this will help achieve players goals. These areas are: Discipline, Consistency, Emotional Intelligence, and Confidence.
Coach Curtis Johnson
Curtis Johnson has been coaching AAU Basketball since 2018. He was an assistant coach with the Apollo Beach Thunder, coaching 4-5th grade. He joined Red Storm Elite in 2019 coaching 5th grade. Then remained with the organization and kept his core group through 8th grade. He believes in building a strong culture. Johnson has trained all ages in basketball for several years. With a main focus on ball handling fundamentals, form shooting and basketball IQ.
